Hayley is currently based in LA after becoming the touring bassist/backing vocalist for songstress/actress Emily Kinney (from The Walking Dead). Most recently she has been on tour with Aussie band 'High Highs' and performed on The Ellen Show with Zara Larsson and MNEK. She is also bassist/backing vocalist for youtube star Madilyn Bailey, along with various other local acts.
Hayley attended the London Centre of Contemporary Music for one year, before moving to study at Berklee College of Music, graduating with an Honours degree in bass performance. Having grown up in a musical family, she has played piano from a young age, done ABRSM singing exams to Grade 8, and made bass her priority and love for the past 10 years +
Moving to New York straight out of college, Hayley became a member of acclaimed indie band Freelance Whales, as their bassist/female vocalist - also adding Harmonium, Glockenspiel and Synth to her skill-set. She toured with them in 2013, whilst also gigging extensively with Catey Shaw and Tei Shi. In 2015 she was in England playing for various artists (Bob Blakeley, Luke Batt, Delaire), notably playing 02-indigo supporting Dionne Warwick, Chris Evans Car-fest, and Terry Wogan BBC Radio 2.
Whilst at Berklee, Hayley received the 'Timothy B Schmitt Endowed Scholarship Award' for bass playing and singing, along with the 'Wes Wehmiller Endowed Scholarship', 'awarded to a student of the electric bass who best carries on Wes's talent, generosity, and verve.' This came with the honour of playing at Wesfest; featuring the legendary John 'JR' Robinson on drums.
